IMPORTANT: Take note of your windscreen! Cases of cracked Windscreen reported.

Everything was fine in the afternoon ard 3+ when i parked my car, but 6pm i go down to my car i noticed this cracked. And it looks like it cracked by itself. I remembered i saw a post somewhere regarding the windscreen cracked by itself. Any bros here experienced the same thing?

Confirm not stone hit...i looked closely at the windscreen and dun see any chip/hole. Apparently it jus cracked from the corner.

hmm maybe the glass already got hair line crack.. so when under heat the crack worsen and will surface out.

someone at sgkiaclub also mention abt his windscreen cracked by itself... seems like a manufacturing defect..

not so sure...i know nth hit my windscreen b4 and it is at the driver side so any crack would be very obvious to my eyes as i always look at my windscreen when i heard of the other bro who encountered the cracked windscreen.

Ur crack looks very serious, normally even if stone hit also start from small crack.
Urs seems like a very big crack.

Mine if not wrong is the 2nd batch, driven for 3000km liao.

That is what i also wondering...my got solar film. I hope they will replace for me solar film out of goodwill if not i have to #$!#!% my way thru.

last wk i was at pandan service ctr talking to 1 mech, he mention some batches of windscreen hv tis self cracking prob..

since tis is a incoming defect, C&C shd replace e solar film FOC too.. but for those dat top up $ for higher grade solar film, i wonder C&C will replace wif e same higher grade solar film anot...

me also think they should replace the film............oh remember to tell them that you're currently using the top grade/brand film...

Looked like lousy tolerance for heat expansion. One thing puzzles me is WHY only happen on the driver side ?

Does anyone feel that the IPOD connector area is also pretty heated up after awhile? I left my HP there and my HP became quite hot ..

I believe is in the problems encountered tread. Look under heat from catalyst converter

your SE should immediately arrange for u to drive in to service centre and make sure ask for replacement car...this is the least they can do for u....

bro fortessiom, the crack look bad ask your SE to arrange the car toll back to their service centre. It's dangerous to drive.

I think it is important to have solar film installed in our cars to protect us from the possible shatter of the window screen on our faces. C&C should compensate affected owners on the solar films as the windscreen matter is a product quality issue.

i believe car's rear and front window are shatterproof.

Don't worry, CnC will definitely replace the sunfilm together with the windscreen as it was due to defective workmanship therefore bear under warranty...

Wow....my cracked has evolved...haha...it has become even longer...will be bringing it down to Leng Kee tmr...they better dun come ard and say it is my fault if not i sure make a damn big fuss there.

tell them the crack soon can develop into a singapore map... threaten them u will use the sticky emails contact to voice out the issue.

Hi bros, My uncle's car which is a EX also ganna the same defect. He just gt his car a few days ago. Seems they were left in the sun for too long I suspect in the shipyard. I have passed by Sembawang Shipyard and I have seem many Fortes being shipped out by lorries to the delivery centres.

Bro, after the first crack, u still drive around? Should straight away go down to CnC and demand a solution....they should not only replace the windscreen plus the sunfilm but to offer u a courtesy car too...that was given to a guy who kana the same thing as u....

yikes...sounds dangerous...in any case, this is the first time i heard of a car's windscreen cracked by itself due to prolonged time in the sun...its ridicoulous..even cheaper cars don"t have this problem...

My windscreen did not crack, but was hit by a stone, so there is now a stone chip, .... waiting for the windscreen to crack so I can claim warranty instead of claim insurance.

Windscreen did not really crack under the sun, it's the fitment with uneven pressure stress apply on certain points...when on the road, our chassis in dynamic form with flexing occuring...

Bro Kapitan, you drive behind big vehicle issit? If not I dun think norma vehicle stone will chip your windscreen.

Ok...got my windscreen replaced tdy liao...but solar film must wait 10 days later den can install cos must wait for the sealant to dry...all FOC.
Sent my car in at 9am, collected abt 5pm. No car for those hours...sianz..

Behind a lorry, which was also behind a large tipper truck...

By requirement, both the car front and rear windscreen are laminated. The sides are tempered. Using a solar film does not really helps in protecting you. the winscreen already has been laminated by layer so in case any object kena the screen at least it stills hold up, thats why you see the spider web effect. But seriously, this crack could be due to unforeseen circumstances. Its great that at least the windscreen and solar film get replaced by agent FOC.
