Organising DIY Aircon insulation

Dear All,

To follow up on the DIY Aircon Insulation,i would like to try doing it myself. i understand that the materials bought can be too much for my own use .Organising this for all forterians to have their own DIY insulation...erm 1st time doing so would like to keep to 8 pax...in case wastage..

Costs will be shared and will have no profit on the person buying the material on behalf of everyone.

Where to buy:
NE Refrigeration
35 Ubi Crescent
S(408585)

For 10 riders:
7 pcs 3/4" 2m rubber insulator ($2 per unit),
one can of adhesive glue ($7 per tin),
two rolls of rubber adhesive tape ($7 per roll in box) and if possible a pack of cable ties, thin and black type.
Bring own scissors, cutter knives and one tiny glass bottle to contain the adhesive glue.

The above items can cater for 10 rides. So kindly list down your nick & name.

Hi Shaq, if Oct, why not set together with 6th MU ? Think the MU is on 17 Oct (but think not confirm yet).

Just being curious, other cars seem to have their air con pipe well insulated when coming out from the factory. How come for KCF, it's not the case and we need to DIY?

Considering many factors...
i proposed to do it next Sat, 17/10/09... maybe say 1pm. Just before the 6th MU.

Yes, let there be lights and do a completely good job and not half done and repeat the insulations.
Look back at some older threads some have learn a lesson of not doing it completely and carefully.

Ok, we can meet on a sunday afternoon i guess. Better also, else at open air car park during meet up also not safe later do halfway suay suay rain. TPY would be good since it is at the centre of sg. (also where i stay =x)
