seat belt indicator

I noticed that my seat belt indicator only lights up when start engine.

After that it goes off even I did not put on seat belt.

Is this correct?

yup... its supposed to work that way... lighted for few secs...

I also experienced this in my ride. When engine turned on, the indicator goes off after a while..i tot by right is as long as u nv fasten ur seat belt, the light should always be there..

i also thought so leh.

I read the manual and found out there are 3 types of scenarios.

Type A is on engine light for 6 seconds then thats it liao.

type b cant remember, type c is as long never put on, it will keep on lighting.

Apparently, ours is type A. I also realised that forte has no beeping sound if never put seat belt, not like mazda 3, beep and beep.
