I think it will be safer to go bolenhland with our Forte now cos it is harder for their TP to tell that we are from SG unless they noticed our number plate....

I heard that the new 2010 forte is going to launch in msia somewhere around next month..

SX is going for RM80K++ ..

I went to msia today and check on Naza Forte specs.. U guyz will hate C&C even more now!!

Naza Forte Specs which is different from Singapore:
- Immobilizer
- Push Start Button
- Exterior Door lock/unlock button
- Shark Fin Antenna
- Bodykit (FREE)
- Solar Film (FREE)
- Leather Door trim
- The rest are the same as Sg SX basic.
- RM83,000!!! / 2.40 = SG$34,583!! *WTF*

ya lah.. but still their specs is better than us ALOT when we pay MORE than them!!

factor in COE and ARF and GST, we paid about the same price for the car, rest of monies went to the tax department....

one more thing I forgot, you get back some money when you scrap, depending on which year u scrap....

end of day, almost same price....

look like some of us will be crossing over for some of the posions listed above...........and many many more to come.....

i'm interested with their exterior door lock/unlock and their leather door trim.. =)

when their Naza Forte is out.. must bring my tools go there dismantle their ride =X

Even though we pay par with their pricing.. but how come they can have the features of immobilizer and push start button when SG C&C said its not available for import!

u have to know that the car is assembled in Malaysia, probably some parts are local made..... cost is lower.... ship in CKD and assemble.... maybe some local plastic parts, localliy mold injected.... keeping cost down...

Sg Forte are completely assembled in Korea and ship in as one unit...

think those going to by forte now can just go in and buy their forte.. then bring back to LTA to register and buy COE will do...

all I hope is NAZA will take over C&C.. hopefully NAZA got better management than C&C

an be done, but will end up paying higher price then buy from C&C..... likely OMV will be RM83k, okay minus some tax here and there, OMV becomes RM75k, so it will be about S$30k, multiply by about 120%, (Sg tax structure), plus COE of 10k, total price you pay is S$76k....

On the flip side
Your car becomes a hot comodity for the "operation-pick and go corporations" in Bolek land.
Rather they dont have where you are safe.... then jus cheaper aftermarket parts..... ^_^....

Seems like time has tell the fact.... the latter is INEVITABLE...

first batch will be CBU and naza is targeting to be the regional assembly line for KIA according to some reliable source.. so... later batch will all be CKD.. then not sure what will be the specs liao..
i am not surprise.. of the specs.. but certainly missed the push button with immo.. the rest can live with...

details out.. it seems bolehland forte comes with better specs....immo + push button standard.. for SX.. (not too sure of the latest C&C offer...)
