Auto-folding mirror function Empty Auto-folding mirror function

Post by redeel 18th January 2010, 11:27 pm

Hi guys, saw a Forte parked with it's auto-folding mirrors left in the normal driving position. From what i have experienced so far, everytime i take my keys out, the mirrors fold in. Is there a way to disable the auto folding that i didn't know of??

there should be a small button on the right side that you can press and the side mirror will unfold back into position. even with the ignition off.

So you're saying... i can 'unfold' the mirrors after they automatically fold after i take the key out... why would i want to do that???

Is there a way to disable the auto-folding instead? I'm worried about wear and tear when it folds and un-folds so many times, even when unnecessary!

press and hold on to the button (beside the alarm light) and once u hear a beep it is deactivated. Do the same steps to activate it again! Auto-folding mirror function Icon_biggrin

Maybe the Forte you saw have not install the autofold mirror? Like mine came with the autofold mirror motor not yet installed. It will only be installed this Wed together with the 1000km sevicing.

Yeah, mine doesn't come with that. So I just let it be.
