RPM at certain speeds (Koup 1.6A)

Just a verification check for Koupians here.

My Koup RPM hovers around these ranges and they do seem a little high.

• 80km/h - 2.1K RPM
  
• 90km/h - 2.5K RPM
  
• 100km/h - 2.9K RPM
  

Anyone can see what is theirs and if this is normal?

mine is generally abit higher at all ranges .. +0.2 thereabout.

Niv, i can relate to that, mine also around dat range...if got 110km/h, mayb touch 3 RPM le...max i went was 100km/h, and its almost 3RPM..

still running in, but I do realize if you speed not there, like below 60km/h, the RPM seems funny, the way we rev.

I also "running in". My mileage at 400+ only.

yup.. kelvin.. surprisely yes... mine 120 - 3.8rpm. 1.6 M. way more jialat then ur's...

It is up to you one.

The only purpose of running in is for the engine pistons debris, which in today technological standards have far improved in terms of quality.

So running in? I dunno. I just try not to drive beyond 100km/h and 3.5K RPM before my first servicing.

for 1.6A actually our rpm wen above 100km/h is quite high... always hit 3k rpm & above....

normal, bro. koup's gearing is quite low. good for urban traffic conditions as it's mated to the usable torque range for a more 'spirited' feel.

normal, bro. koup's gearing is quite low. good for urban traffic conditions as it's mated to the usable torque range for a more 'spirited' feel.

It's cool. Just wanna make sure it is normal.

My manual quite different from yours lehz...

80km/h already 2.5k RPM
but 100km/h is 3k RPM

of course that is lower...the RPM here is on an average what I have seen on different roads.... normal level roads....

Mine is 1.6 A, is about the same as yours.

how far did u travel on ur first full tank?...mine is 351km only.

I didnt manage to finish the full tank..wife keep pestering me to top up....will try to hit the red warning mark this time round.

noticed the pick up, when climbing to 60km/h, RPM like hovering round 1500, like bit hard to go up.

0-60 is lk tt... after 60 is ok.. dats wat i notice too

Just came back from Johor during the weekend, saw 1 of our bros I think, bronze Forte.

Back to topic: I tried so hard to maintain below 3k RPM but failed as I was running in, but on NSH, bit hard especially when cars come so fast from behind. 1 thing I find, yes above 60km/h, very smooth already.

Tyres noisy when above 100km/h, normal. Suspension though not very stiff, bit quite stable. Steering heavy, stable when at high speeds. Still not on the manual overdrive though, wait after my 1st servicing.

yups...i notice that too

0-60 can feel the car use a lot of power to climb...after dat ok liao. i've never traveled above 100 yet..

Stable!! i agree!. i take corner at higher speed than i do with my other car. and ya, reaching 80 to 90, the car really smooth. 3rpm i can reach almost 110. down slope at 3rpm, reaching 120 :xbut did u notice a drop in rpm at aprox gear 2 to 3 ? somewhere about 50 - 70 that range ?

Yes, the RPM drops to like 1500, 1600, then the sound like wanna die like that, the world suddenly slows down. Not sure if there's any way to improve that. Cos before that was constant till you hit 50km/h.

The 4 speed auto gearbox makes the FC BAD>>>>

There is nothing u can do about it. Maybe u are used to turbocharged vehicle? keke
