NoteBook Brand - advice pls....

bosses, my son rejected the netbook - to small...... lol
anyway he said that he is willing to spend 1200 so i have the following to chhose from

1. dell inspiron '14 - $1199 - i5, 2gb,win7,320HD, 512MB ATI, 1 year
2. toshiba satellite - $1299 - i3, 4gb,win7,500HD, 512MB ATI, 2 year, webcam. blue tooth
3. compaq presario - $1099 - i3, 2GB,win7,320HD, 512MB ATI, 1 year, speakers, reader, webcam, bluetooth
4. asus - $1298 - i3,2GB, win7,500HD, 1GB ATI, 1 year, speakers, webcam, reader,bluetooth


looking at the specs.... i am inclined to go for asus. however i have no experience with their service and reliability....

any advice on the list that i have here?

Asus rocks!!! I using Asus F6V for over a year now. No prob so far.....

I say go for the cheapest option regardless of specs. That's just me just offering my point of view. Nothing personal boss!!

1) I don't know how old ur son is...but there's always a chance he might left it unattended
2) laptops specs changes so fast, the minute u swipe ur card...it's obsolete
3) like cars, ppl loves to change their lap tops every few years some even months

Other than that I say Asus n toshiba looks like a good deal with better spec from asus and longer warranty from toshiba.
Compaq would be my choice if I were to get for my kid...who knows what he gonna do with it.
