Ha ha, you never state budget or size preference, so suggest 1 of the best pic quality LED TV for you

Re: LED TV
Actually if you watch a lot of movies, I will suggest that you try plasma TV instead. The black contrast is still best, colours are still more natural. But if sharp vibrant colours are what you like, then go for LED TV. Most LED TV are edge lit, go for local dimming if possible (eg. Samsung series 8) for the best pic quality. Ultimately, go and audition with your own eyes the various TV before deciding.

Re: LED TV
been taking a snoop around BD & HN. so far, seems like onli 3 brands got LED; samsung, LG & sharp. want a realli slim set for wall mount.
sharp onli got 1 model the LE700 which is super THICK(!). macam normal LCD or plasma TV. cheap tho at $1.6k. but pic quality look the same as LCD. samsung's series 7 & 8 looks ok but come in 40" or 46". not that cheap even for the 40" but would prefer 42". LG's new Borderless design looks quite good actualli. comes in 42" and specs comparable wif samsung's series 7. even comes wif bluetooth, backlit and a whopping 3M:1 contrast. seems like better value for money. juz wondering if anyone has this model, (tink it's the SL90) and got any FR on it?

Nothing beats the experience of watching movie with a big screen. My wife is already a convert, and both of us are finding our 6yr old 42" plasma TV small.

Theaters are great but it is hardly private. Sometime if you are unlucky, you seat next to some really inconsiderate people. And not all cinemas picture or sound quality are good. And it is hardly cheap. The price of 2 weekend tickets can almost buy you one DVD. Now I only go to cinemas for those movies with lots of spectacular effects or those movies I cannot wait for the DVD release.

Yep, these premium seats comes with a price.
But since I already had setup a pretty decent home theatre at home, might as well make full use of it.
