Even in Singapore...
Heads-up! Apparently, there's been a spate of thefts to car accessories in the NE part of Singapore... Some photos sent to me by friends from another forum...

Re: Even in Singapore...
If people can even make out and rock their shocks in a brightly lit MSCP assuming that no one will see, what of these thieves?!

Re: Even in Singapore...
from the 4 images, seems like ulu or quite MSCP are easy target siah..
another point to note, don't spend on rims...
wondeer liketat can claim insurance bor? if cannot really die ah...
Actually seems like very pro job ley, maybe they have some hydraulic stuff to jack the car ley, or else how to remove the wheels?
i reckon its for 2nd hand market

Perhaps not. So long they can be resold.....people will still succumb to desperation..or sometimes 'excitement'? Hehe...

Re: Even in Singapore...
one thing struck my mind after seeing e picz... wat happen to e car alarm system.. these thieves r really pro, they could hv test out e alarm to see if e alarm goes off b4 proceeding their mission. a shock/microwave sensor in a 2 way alarm system, would hv goes off/activated n inform e owner of e car status once a movement is detected... at least we now noe e improtance of a car alarm system..

Haha, but not everyone has 2 way alarm ley, just like our stock forte, no alarm...

Re: Even in Singapore...
I don;t think it's a 2 way alarm thingie right?
It's basically if the alarm has the vibration sensor thingie.

Re: Even in Singapore...
I bet they tested it out before attempt..... unless they can cut the alarm wire? impossible i guess. Or they do it damn gentle until shock sensor wont go off lolJuz@kid wrote:one thing struck my mind after seeing e picz... wat happen to e car alarm system.. these thieves r really pro, they could hv test out e alarm to see if e alarm goes off b4 proceeding their mission. a shock/microwave sensor in a 2 way alarm system, would hv goes off/activated n inform e owner of e car status once a movement is detected... at least we now noe e improtance of a car alarm system..

Re: Even in Singapore...
taking out wheels might activate the shock sensor... coz shock sensor detect for shocks, we kick keigo's forte's tyre and alarm came out. Maybe we can organise a meet up to kick his tyre

Exactly what I think. Best not to have expensive super duper rims and tires if the car is parked in MSCP overnight.

Seriously, if that fellow has the right tools in his tool box, he can stripped your whole car without needing anything else and lay them nicely in the carpark

Re: Even in Singapore...
i wonder why install CCTV in MSCP when it doesnt work in catching the theives ? waste tax payers money hahaha sounds like a big joke !

Re: Even in Singapore...

Re: Even in Singapore...
Removing the typres no need shock.
Lift the car and start unscrews the typres, just like how you will
replace your punture typres.
Anyway, i think pple dun steal typres because of money, more like they really hate the car owner.

Re: Even in Singapore...
IMHO, I think these are not professional jobs. Just fellow car enthusiasts who know what they want, know what they are doing but just not so keen on spending the kind of money to get them. So what's the next best thing and way of getting exactly what they want?

actually.. if cctv could capture their face.. its traceable? facial recognition is very advance now...
that y if could capture in close range.. then.. there is high chance to bag the thieves..
FriesL- Senior Member
Re: Even in Singapore...
Most of the branded aftermarket rims come with anti-thief wheel nuts (only special key given to the owner can unlock), so fret not.

Re: Even in Singapore...
How about a link to the source, Bro FriesL? If it can be connected to a simple DVR module, depending on the cables/connectors available, there may be many possibilities. Provided it's not too big.
