This is the biggest crock of bullshyt I've ever heard... And believe you me, in my line of work, I hear more than my fair share of bovine crap from bottom up, peer level and from the top down.

If anything at all, the authorities had more than enough time to react and prevent the suspect, whatever the hell breed, creed or status he is, from leaving. Everything is either a phone call away or on-line. And where there is any possibility at all that any person is a plausible suspect at all, there is a level of discretion within which the Police are able to exercise their influence within or without the ministries and statutory boards before the court orders are issued. Obviously in this scenario, because there wasn't any big shots who were victims, the authorities preferred to err on the 'safe' side by not offending anyone. Either that or no one had the balls to compromise their ROA to do so.

And I'm not saying all these because I am already biased against the dweebs in blue for personal reasons but that's the way it is. PERIOD. I certainly hope this blows up in the face of Wong Kan Seng, George Yeo, the Police Farce, Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs, Immigration Dept and the yellow-livered and/or testicle and scrotum deficit officials that make up the Romanian Embassy. I'd even hazard a guess that the likely perpetrator... no, criminal, was drunk.

What Goes Around... Comes Around.

Just wait for the headlines... I don't have to elaborate what we're going to expect. The Romanian diplomatic service with their very own talents working in their ministries are going to burrow into every available legislative loophole to prevent any ongoing investigation to come to fruition... much less an extradition.

diplomatic passport.....
u cannot detain them even if there is sufficient evidence
all u can hope for is for the embassy to cooperate...

gahmen can do is protest and ask for the ambassador to show his face and receive the letter of protest.....

technically, unless u caught them red-handed at the scene of the crime, they can get away with murder......

Maybe we should all go to all online Romanian newspapers and demanded that he comes back here.....if he is guilty...let his country judge him.

Show the despair and sadness of a young couple whose life together is destroyed by a senseless act.

I can't believe that after reading the papers today that for the 3-days before the POS left the island, the Police Farce didn't do anything... The sorry excuse for a country's representative left the country only 3-days after the crime and apparently NOTHING was done to get at him while the authorities could.

No wonder the kins of the victims cannot swallow the pain and sorrow of unjust and loss... There'd better be some updates as to what the authorities are doing. With the criminal already out of the country, what else can the authorities do? Ban him from ever entering Singapore again?!

The late evidence of the receipt seems very REAL and very FRABICATED... now the nature of this case is turning into a cover-up. I knew and suspected that the actual culprit won't be caught. Receipts can still be printed to the exact timing of the so-called ride to show his lack of involvement. At this point, since the news already reported the cab receipt, there's no way to implicate him. I hope after this, the govt will HAVE TO come up with a law regarding the diplomats' vehicles in SG.

Anyways, hope this case gets more light with the public. We all want to see justice being served and not another foreign policy gets in the way....

Last night WanBao said the diplomat is coming back in January for further investigation.

He also claims he went back to Romania for diabetes checkup or follow-up and he has everything planned way beforehand.

Lets see if the agency / hospital will stand up and support him ?

...which to say, at the very end, those 3 victims died/injured for nothing.

this romanian may highly likely escape because of the diplomat immunity. however, if sg govt speaks up for the victims, the romanian govt may send him back to sg for prosecution (depends on how many faces the romanian leaders are willing to give us). BUT until now, this sg govt still keeps very quiet. Embassy car in Hit & Run - Page 2 Icon_evil

Let them do what they must. If we dont like it, can always vote them out next election.

the case become quite drama liao.

and I hope at least this time, the taxi driver can be the hero for us, cos he heard the romanian BAS**** attempt to lie and call police and stuff.

But also i was wondering.. since he "reported" the car is stolen, another to match the fact is to CSI the car. See if steering wheel has another person's DNA. Hair?

Cos we all know there are only few ways to open the car door. if someone had stolen it like he had fabricated the story, then for sure there will be trace right?

CSI the car is a good idea, but bros, bear in mind that the Audi 'stolen' car has already been "Repaired and fixed' and 'returned' to the embassy within 2 weeks of the event.

WHEN DO U see an important piece of evidence like this get ' repaired and fixed' and return to the owner who claims it was 'stolen'??
