Cold air intake for Forte? Empty Cold air intake for Forte?

Post by Solidlight 1st January 2010, 5:15 pm

Hey guys,

I'm currently looking to do cold air intake for my forte, but i'm not sure where to do it and how much it costs. So I figured I'll post here first in case I get ripped off from workshops. Haha, so does anyone has a "lobang" for doing cold air intake? Thanks!

If i see correctly, our forte air intake points out right above the radiator grill, which is still hot air. My previous ride air intake points into the engine bay also hot air....

If you diy usually easiest way is to replace the intake pipe with an insulated pipe pointing downwards; no need to cut car body also. Of course best is to cut the fog lamp area for a nice opening thou hehe...

CAI helps abit as you get alot cooler air into the engine as compared to the stock intake. I could feel abit of diff in my previous ride when i did it Cold air intake for Forte? Icon_smile

wa many question to ans... Cold air intake for Forte? Icon_biggrin

1) cut the fog lamp portion (the toughest of all)
2) need to jack up the front wheel for easy access
3) run the pipe underneath the carriage upwards to the heat insulation

anyway above description was applied to my open pod setup CAI.. for drop in setup the CAI might need to customize a bit due to the fittings of the air intake.
