CRACKED WINDSCREEN !

My 1 week old Forte's windscreen just cracked ! Dammit , called CnC , they say have to go to either Pandan or Leng kee , which is far from my house . Why Ubi cannot ah guys ? And what do they do to rectify this issue ? Change a new windscreen ?

they will change e new windscreen,moulding for you.this is common and by right they should recall all the vehicles back as they already know all these problem.

bro forte21, sorry to hear that ur ride's windscreen cracked too. try to bring it up to their management and hope they will resolve this issue for u asap...

mine is spicy red, also kenna... 1 week car

they'll fixed it in one day, if have solar film, make sure u get them to compensate, fix back for u..

Mine 1st batch (march '09) don't have any of the problem mentioned in this Forum...

Maybe heng suay bcos my ride also mar 09 batch....and windscreen cracked twice....

It's either the chasis or the quality of the glass use. if the chasis holds it too tight, and when there is a sudden impact, the glass will sure cant stand the impact and as a result cracking it.

Those affected please keep writing to C&C KIA to request for KIA to redesign the windscreen. Once ready, recall all Cerato Forte cars and get the windscreens replace.

If need to, bros and sis who had experience windscreen cracked should make a case individually to CASE, when the no. of complains increase, CASE will sent a rep to see C&C.

Please also consider writing to the forum of 4 national newspapers, if C&C and CASE cannot help you.

CnC better make sure there are stocks available in singapore to cater for such increased cases, dont want to wait for days for the delivery. Dont think kia has solved the issue since the new batch has this issue still.

wah.. my white sx auto now 5 days old.. 2 more days to test. . does it crack while driving? or found it already cracked when u collect your car in the morning?

Damn it! When I told my SE about windshield cracking, she told me don't listen to forum. It's a rare issue. So far she only got 1 customer has this problem only.

Need someone with a flair in writing to draft out a letter and then send it to Straits times......

if send to straitstime then nobody dare to sit my car liao.. people will be mocking me how stupid i am to buy forte.. oh no.. my friends and colleagues may be laughing at me!!

Hope you're not offended, but I dun see why you should be afraid of them mocking you and it makes me wonder why did you get a Forte in the first place. Would you rather Cnc to keep brushing the problem aside?

haa.. safety of cos important but if things can be settle discreetly will be best.. definately not through stomp as people there sometimes comments without brains

yeah finally someone share the same thoughts as me!! we are both white forte? hahaa

its ok to petition for life time warranty for our windscreen, ask for explaination, to cases etc but dun publicise how bad forte is through stomp nad those gossip papers.. do more harm than benefits only..

like what i said, scarly call bad all forte to servicing and cannot drive out by law until certified safety then lppl already..

What abt the solar film??

Who pays for that??

If its from CNC originally, CNC will redo, if the film is aftermarket, i dont think CNC will entertain much but i think someone got their's redo FOC by CNC though.

if the windscreen cracked by itself, be it your solar film was done outside, demand for FOC replacement, but of course entitle only to the in-house sunfilm which is rikecool....
