Bro, SX dun come with alarm.....only EX come with the locally fitted alarm....

Mmm..my SX comes with the alarm that my SE throw in...so i guess u r rite...SX dun come with alarm de...

Some existing problems extract from another car forum:-

well.. it's a common problem..

as for aircon
wise, just insulate it.. it helps a little as forte's heater designed
to kick on at 24degree.. so just on at 22degree, ya will feel the
coldness...

as for zee zee sound from door side, is because of
the plastic sheet within it.. just remove the panel and tighten those
screws, everything settled.

for knocking sound, they got solution to it. to change the shock abosrber bushing. so no big deal.

ultimately, forte got no problem. but when ya have it, ya got lots of problem.. lol.

Singapore Forte be it whatever model or cc does not comes with immobilizer....

Latest update on my 5000km servicing today. Such a coincidence i saw Divine with his gf there! Haha
Had finally installed the damper to prevent the front absorbers from producing the knocking sound and also asked them to check my coolant as i realised that my coolant level drops quite fast...they feedback and said no leaking..

in that case, u better monitor the coolant level...cannot be no leaking and yet it drop drastically...

hi bro, our SX rides only come with lock/unlock transponder. Alarm are given by SE, and not everyone has.

Anyway the SE give louya alarm, unless there is shock sensor, else break window also wont sound off

my car got burning smell, anyone have the same issue??

some say cuz of 3A car mat, which i doubt so,
some say because of anti rust undercoat,
some say exhast got smoke,

anyone see this issue before ???

wah....burning smell sounds bad leh. dont on aircon also got smell ?
try to air it by winding windows door for a while and see if it improves ?

otherwise, better send it in to let cnc check.

the burning smell is not inside the cabin de, its outside, near the tires there, then best is bro divine say my car got alot of smoke from the exhast but i never see any leh...

Front or rear tires ? Left or right tires ? Got open bonnet to check if there is any smell ?

likely during spraying of the undercoat, it kana the tires area, thus generating burning smell when u drive....

hi bros n sis, anyone heard sound coming frm ur windshield that sounded like "glass under stress"

i thot it's going to crack, but i can't find any cracks under close examine

mine too.. keep hearing sounds from the windscreen.. already cracked once and changed to a new one...

tomorrow going down to leng kee again to check on the undercarriage knocking noises.. getting more recently..

then i just realised there is a pool of water under my car everytime i parked for a period of time... is this normal?

drive side door has this defective sound when music is played or when traveling at a higher speed. anything abnormal with that? please advice.

Wow! everybody complain air-con not cold and you are the only one mention so cold, Then turn down the air-con temperature lah, and set it at 24 - 25 degree.

kind of not sure if any could agree with me.. that forte sounds a bit hollow... when knocked by stone / from wheel..or other.. during driving..
kind of "tong tong" sound.. instead of "tok" haaa..

hi my forte EX got these problems...
1. leather seats got hair line thread again after i ve sent it back to cnc.the problem still unsolve.
2. leather seats got wrinkles on my front left n right seats.
3. fuel float faulty
4. bodykit still not in yet.
5. interior door panels(4 pcs) all got white patches and scratches
6. leather seats also will have white patches too.

do anyone ve this issue?

I got no.5, these are the silver plastic where the door handles are (all 4) PLUS the steering wheel. When down to complain, said no stock, need to wait for 1 - 2 months

Collected today at 6pm.. drive frm Pandan to Serangoon... No rain.... but Headlite is misty inside... WHY WHY WHY??

Ask for it ba. Guess the emblem is from local. Anyways the emblem also sucks.. mine start to see peeling off liao.. Do u still want it? Maybe go stick Kitty face over there much better than FORTE wordings.

btw, the safety belt there got light meh? and I checked earlier, no mist in my car, and finally check tyre pressure!

also collected today... no forte word (looks very ugly actually)

and safety belt also no light....it lights up for a few secs after start engine....but disappear

Ipod cable dun have but rikecool have warranty card.

rikecool is handled by your SE? Check with him
Some tinting guys will place the warranty cards in the glove compartment.
Some will require you to go back to the tinting workshop after a few days just to inspect the tint job before issuing a warranty card to you.

Mine is not rikecool, so i am not sure bout their practice.

Rike Cool warranty card Your SE will pass to you.... I got it frm my SE...

or u can check the booklet they pass to you when u collect your car...got all the instruction book for your car and bluetooth set inside...

Mine have this problem of misty headlite too... collected 01 Oct 09 SX(A) model. sianz......

Btw, my passengers side window got this rattling sound... think alignment also out after i have been driving with window half down.. initially it was ok....

Any other bro.sis have this same prob?

Remember to check your car paintwork body before and after servicing. As I did my 1K at LK and after servicing encounter scatches on paintwork which is cause by the FOC car wash.
Do be careful on this.

Like car looks & price... but abit worry about the probelms you guys faced so far...

Jus wondering... any "Forteians" out there that had their car (for say 6 mths or more?) and had zero problems and defects so far?

Also, buying car because bo pian really need the wheels, realistic to think that I can drive the Forte for full 10 yrs or not ah?

Or will I have to pay until seow for the svcing & repairs once the warranty up?

been having my forte for coming to 8 months now (first batch).....so far only have minor issues only.....and all resolved already ....only concern is the windscreen issues (seem like no solution from KIA yet)....hope they can resolve this issue soon......
